A yearly event for new phones and other gear, including the Apple Watch Series 10, the latest smart watch by the tech brand. It comes in two new sizes: 42 or 46 millimeters. Compared to its predecessor, the Apple Watch 9, the 10 has a larger size (+1 mm) and it is thinner build (- 1 mm).

More new features on the Apple Watch 10 compared to the 9 are a larger screen size, sleep apnea detection, the use of titanium as case material and a new finish. The 42-millimeter version measures 36 x 42 millimeters, the 46-millimeter version does 39 x 46 millimeters. You can get it in recycled aluminium / aluminum or recycled titanium, for now it is not available in stainless steel.

You can get the aluminium Apple 10 with a silver color, gold color or in jet black. The titanium version comes in either a natural titanium color (a bit dark silver), gold color or slate. Titanium as case material also adds at least 300 to the price.

The basic versions have GPS, if you want a cellular connection as well, it’s around 100 more expensive.

Battery and charging the Apple Watch 10

The battery life of the Apple Watch Series 10 hasn’t changed compared to the Series 9. It still lasts for about 18 hours at max, or up to 36 hours in low power mode.

What has been improved is high-speed charging. The new Apple Watch needs 30 minutes to charge up to 80% of battery, the Series 9 needs 45 minutes for 80%.

The price of the Apple Watch Series 10 is the same as the 9. A basic version is 399 (US dollars), add a 100 for cellular connectivity, and add 50 for a Milanese bracelet to have the 42-millimeter aluminium version. Total price: $ 549. The same 42-model in titanium will cost you $ 849. Rather have these options in 46 millimeters: $ 579 for aluminium and $ 899 for titanium. The most expensive Apple Watch Series 10 is the 46-millimeter titanium with cellular connectivity and link bracelet: $ 1,049.
