Another Extreme Sport variant by the Swiss brand, the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport. It is part of a series of watches that are more resistant to rougher conditions. Although part of this “image” also comes from the larger sizes and bold looks. Because no one goes on a survival trip with a 30k costing gold tourbillon. Not even with its recently released brother, the 8-12k costing TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Extreme Sport.
There are two variants for this tourbillon so far, both in 44 millimeters. The reference CBU5080.FT6272 has a titanium case, the CBU5050.FT6273an 18k 5N rose gold case. The titanium version has a bezel from forged carbon, the gold version sports a gold bezel. Both with tachymeter scale. And both have a skeletonized dial with NAC coating and black and grey tones. It offers a fascinating view on the movement and the tourbillon as a part of it.

The movement of the TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Tourbillon Extreme Sport is the TAG Heuer caliber TH20-09. It is the tourbillon version of the TAG Heuer caliber TH20-00 that was launched in 2023. COSC certified, with a warranty of 5 years and a power reserve of 65 hours.
Both models come on an integrated black rubber strap with a black DLC titanium central link. The folding clasp is also from black DLC titanium. The case back is partly from sapphire so you will have a good view on the movement from the back as well.
