This website is about watches. In fact, it is an online guide to fine watches. We try to bring you all the latest news of the most interesting models in a clear and clean way.
About the photos
No hairy wrist shots. Just sharp photos mostly from the watch manufacturers. Even on your mobile or tablet you can discover fantastic details on dials, cases, hands, bezels and more. Use our build-in features to enlarge photos or use your mobile’s or tablet’s enlargement features.
About the specs
Almost all technical data and specifications are from the watch manufacturers as well. So do not blame us when a little piece of that data might be wrong. Send us an email instead so that we can correct it.
About the prices
The same with prices: sometimes only the price in Swiss Francs is provided. As most of our readers use other currencies we convert all prices into dollars, euros, Swiss francs and pounds. With the exchange rate of that moment. Which may not be very accurate the next day. Or the next week. But still you have a good impression of the price. And your local dealer’s price may be different too. As well as taxes in your country. Where possible we provide the original price provided by the manufacturer. If we have done some recalculation you will see ‘approx.’ before the price. By the way, when you see the $-sign we mean American Dollars.
We also foster diversity and inclusion in our editorial content. Read about it in our Diversity Policy. We also try maintain the highest ethical standards in all aspects of our work. Which we describe in our Ethics Policy. Accuracy and credibility in our reporting is important to us. So incase you might find anything wrong, read our Corrections Policy.
About where to find what
We try to categorize all the data we have in such a way that you can find what you want. Main categories are Brand, Type, Size and Price. All other important data (collection, movement, main features) are tagged and can be found below each article. Use these to find more in-depth data. The best working method is using our search field in the upper right corner. Be aware of the fact that there is no separated category for watches with a diameter of 42.6 millimeters. We put it in the 43-mm category. And a 42.3 will be put into 42 mm. But the specs will always show you the right, exact size.
About the model pages
Sometimes two or more models are from the same series and get their own page. We do this when the watches within that series have significant differences in looks or movement. Or we like those two or more models from the same series so much we think they deserve another page.
About what you read
Everything we write down has a journalistic approach. But we are human as well so forgive us when we like one watch a little bit more than the other. We try to review all the watches in the best possible way. We are not testing the watches. And no one is paying us for what we write. And we do not sell or trade watches. If, only if you will see any commercial message, it will be clear to you. And it will possibly be an advertisement in order to cover the costs for hosting, building and maintaining this site. We will protect the clean design of the site. Here you can read more about our Publishing Principles.
Furthermore, our Diversity Staffing Report might interest you, as we foster a diverse, inclusive, and equitable work environment.
About who we are
We are just enthusiastic about watches. Wearing them for decades, writing about them for decades and sharing our passion for it in a clear and easy to read way. As we think that everyone on the world who can speak a little English, should be able to understand (most of) what we write. So, we are not spraying our knowledge, we try to limit technical terms and where it is inevitable we try to explain what and how. Here you can read more about this site’s Ownership / Funding.
