Alpina introduces four new models to the Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic collection. The latest additions feature a more compact 39 x 40.5-millimeter stainless steel case, a departure from the larger designs typically associated with this range. The models come in three dial colors: beige, dark green, and blue. The beige version is also available on a rubber strap.

The signature case shape with the soft curves of a round case and the imposing structure of a square is still there. The dial has a triangle pattern, a nod to Alpina’s roots in the mountains, with a small date window at the 3 o’clock position. Furthermore, silver color hour and minute hands with white luminova, and a silver color second hand with red triangle counterweight. The indexes are also silver in color, applied, and filled with white luminova.

The Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic 39 mm has a power reserve of 38 hours

This Alpiner Extreme Automatic is powered by the Alpina caliber AL-525, an automatic that provides a 38-hour power reserve. It has a Sellita SW200 base and hopefully waits for an upgrade for some more power reserve.

Thanks to the case construction, the screwed crown, and the screwed case back, it can withstand water pressure of 20 bars. Sufficient for regular watersport use. Apart from the option to go for a beige rubber strap when choosing the beige dial, the rest comes on a stainless steel bracelet. Which adds about 300 to the price. Some “old” 41-millimeter versions are still available, like this Alpina Alpiner Extreme Automatic.
