The name of the Armin Strom One Week Manufacture Edition already exactly reveals what this timepiece is about. In 2010 the brand launched their new in-house hand-wound movement with a power reserve of a week, called the “One Week”. Last year the brand created an updated version of the model with the Armin Strom One Week First Edition. That model has some blue hues on a black and steel grey background, and the same movement.

This new edition is more monochrome, with mainly black on grey steel tones, and has the same 41-millimeter stainless steel case. One of the coolest parts of this watch are the two series-coupled barrels transferring consistent levels of power to the gear train. You can clearly see them on top of each other on the right side of the dial. When you wind the watch you’ll see all the gears moving. And what about open-worked barrels?

The Armin Strom One Week Manufacture Edition has a power reserve of 168 hours

For this new One Week model, the same movement is used, the Armin Strom caliber ARM21. Apart from hours, minutes, and small seconds it also has a special power reserve indicator. It’s indicated by a cone system that takes its inspiration from pocket watches, with a mirror-polished cone driven by a conical gear on the opposite side of the dial. The main plate, bridges and parts are PVD coated in anthracite.

The Armin Strom One Week Manufacture Edition comes on a stainless steel bracelet that is integrated in the case. The double folding clasp is also from stainless steel and the watch is limited 100 pieces.
