The Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Amber Edition is the second variant of their model with two tourbillons. The first with reference 1DTAW.Z02A.C183W has a starry dark blue dial and is a one-off, this new one comes in Baltic or ‘tiger’ amber. Also in a white gold 43.5-millimeter case. And also a one-off.
The color of the dial is yellow-ish as it is made from amber, which is fossilized tree resin. Normally it is a bit shiny and sparkling, especially when polished, but here it looks more matt, and it has texture. Resulting in different reflections when light falls on it. And it is still aging so the color can change over time. The opal white sub dials, each with hours and minutes and each with a tourbillon, create a soft colored overall effect.
The Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Amber Edition has a power reserve of 90 hours
To power the two dials with two time indications for two time zones, the watch has two barrels. These provide a 90-hour power reserve to the hand-wound Arnold & Son caliber A&S8513. The finish is on a high level, with a circular-grained and NAC-treated main plate. The bridges are also NAC-treated and adorned with Côtes de Genève motif, the wheels are rhodium-plated, and the tourbillon bridges are executed in white gold.
The Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Amber Edition is worn on a hand-stitched jungle-green alligator leather strap. It has a papaya-yellow alligator leather lining and an 18-carat white gold folding clasp.
