Another double tourbillon, this Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Charoite Edition brings a new color to these ultra-limited editions. As each color, imperial jade, malachite and Baltic amber of this model so far is a unique piece. Well, it’s a unique watch too, as you kind of get two watches for the price of one.
The color here is Parma violet, or mauve, or lavender, or lilac, or shifting shades of purple. It’s called charoite and comes from the color of a rare silicate mineral first found in Siberia and named after a river there. Which A&S have delicately cut into a slice to use as a dial.
Second time zone offset by 15, 30 or 45 minutes
As the watch displays two times on the two opal sub dials, each operated by its own crown, it is a great travel watch. If you forget the price, that is. Where regular watches can show a second time zone offset by an hour, this Double Tourbillon can display the time in zones offset by 15, 30 or 45 minutes.
The two dials are completely independent, with their own technical gear, like a tourbillon, barrel and more. So, the movement inside is a work of art by itself.
The Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Charoite Edition has a power reserve of 90 hours
The movement of the Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Charoite Edition is the hand-wound caliber A&S8513. Thanks to its two barrels it has a power reserve of 90 hours. It is adorned with Côtes de Genève amongst many other embellishments. Like rhodium plated wheels, 18-carat white gold chatons and chamfered screws with mirror-polished heads. The tourbillon bridges are from 18-carat white gold, just like the 43.5-millimeter case.
The case back is sapphire and this piece unique comes on an aubergine alligator leather strap with papaya yellow lining. The folding clasp is 18-carat white gold. Here you can read about the Arnold & Son Double Tourbillon White Gold Amber Edition. Now, let’s see what the next color will be…
