A robust timepiece tailored for those seeking a blend of functionality and sporty design. Our first thought was: this is the Gulf livery. Well, not exactly but it comes close.
The Royal Oak Offshore series, launched in 1993, is continuously expanding with new colors. Over time the collection has become synonymous with durability and boldness, appealing to enthusiasts seeking some presence on the wrist. And of course, it is family of the famous Royal Oak design from 1972 on which the brand leans heavily ever since.
Méga Tapisserie Dial
This iteration of the Royal Oak Offshore Chronograph features a 42-millimeter stainless steel case with a thickness of 15.3 millimeters. It offers a commanding wrist presence. Its dial is executed in light blue with Méga Tapisserie, a raised pattern of square motifs that create a textured, grid-like appearance. A renewed element of the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak collection.
This dial is complemented by large Arabic numeral hour markers, and white gold Royal Oak hands with luminescent coating. Furthermore, black sub dials with orange numerals for enhanced readability. A black inner bezel frames the dial with a white and orange tachymeter scale, adding depth to its appearance.
The Flyback Chronograph
Equipped with a flyback chronograph function, the watch allows for immediate resetting and restarting of the chronograph with a single push. Facilitating precise time measurement. In the middle the central chronograph seconds hand in orange.
Then at the 12 o’clock position is a 12-hour counter, and at 9 a 30-minute counter. At 6 are the small seconds and at 3 o’clock an encircled date window in the same color as the dial.
