The Bell & Ross BR-X1 Tourbillon Sapphire shows you everything possible of the watch as its case is fully transparent. The 45-millimeter case is cut out of nine blocks of sapphire: middle piece, back, top, crystal and four bumpers, assembled with screws. This makes it solid and probably very expensive as it is a very intensive process to create. It’s not the first see-through watch on the market but the first for Bell & Ross.

The hand-wound flying tourbillon (caliber BR-CAL.285) beats at 21,600 vph and offers a power-reserve of four days. Around 70 hours when you activate the mono-pusher column wheel chronograph a lot.

Of course, the dial is skeletonized to provide a perfect view of the movement. The 30-minutes timer of the chronograph is at 11 o’clock, the 60-seconds timer at 1 o’clock and there is a power-reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. The flying tourbillon is at 6 o’clock.

To ensure its transparent looks the strap is made from translucent rubber with a metallic Kevlar weaving. A perfect match.
