Bovet unveils the Bovet Orbis Mundi Only Watch, a unique timepiece created for the 10^th edition of the Only Watch charity Auction. (Which is postponed.) This special Orbis Mundi edition, meaning ‘The World’ in Latin, also features a world display. The brand choses magenta as the major color of this watch, embodying love and support to those who suffer the Duchenne muscular dystrophy disease.

The case of this Bovet is made of 18K red gold, just 42 millimeters in size with a thickness of 11.25 millimeters. It displays a magenta guilloche base dial with a world timer display in the center on its own dial. Paris is replaced by Monaco, also in magenta, to underline the Only Watch location. The world timer dial also bears huge Roman numerals for the hours, and the ’10’ is also in magenta as this watch is for the 10th Only Watch edition. You can also see a small part of the movement at 6 o’clock. There you will see the balance wheel and regulating organ, with its three-arm rotating second hand and a 20-second scale.

Bovet Orbis Mundi Only Watch has a massive power reserve of 168 hours

The heart of this timepiece is a hand-winding Bovet caliber 15BM01HU. It is furnished with a power reserve of 168 hours (seven days!) with a single barrel and runs at 21,600 vph. On the right near the 3 o’clock position is the power reserve indicator. All functions can be operated with the real-sapphire cabochon-topped crown.

The Bovet Orbis Mundi Only Watch comes on a purple alligator strap with red gold ardillon buckle. The strap attachment’s points are, just like the crown, set with sapphire cabochons.
