The Breitling Navitimer Automatic GMT 41 celebrates 140 years of Breitling as well. It’s part of a new model offensive commemorating Breitling’s long existence in the world of watchmaking. This new Navitimer comes with eight new references, either in steel or fairly mined gold. All with a GMT complication.
In the early days of commercial flights, in the 1950s, pilots would have loved to have a GMT watch when operating intercontinental flights. Yes, they could buy a Rolex GMT-Master that was launched in 1954, but that model was more for travelers. Breitling’s Navitimer focused more on pilots offering a lot more possibilities when it comes to making calculations. And with success, as the model is running for more than 70 years now.

New dial colors for the update Navitimer
The dial of the new Navitimer comes in ice blue, silver, black or green – the latter only for the gold versions. It has a stepped setup with black or white indexes, and a color contrasting central seconds hand. Furthermore, it has a short GMT hand with a prominent luminescent triangle tip pointing at the inner circle of the dial with a 24-hour scale. At the 6 o’clock position it a date aperture.
The size is still 41 millimeters, just like the first Navitimers and the case is either stainless steel or responsibly mined 18k gold. And as always, it has the classic bidirectional bezel with circular slide rule in order to make quick calculations for speed, fuel consumption and many more.
The Breitling Navitimer Automatic GMT 41 has a power reserve of 42 hours
Inside is the COSC certified automatic Breitling caliber 32, also known as caliber B32. It is based on the ETA caliber 2893-2, a solid movement with GMT complication adjusted by Breitling. The power reserve is 42 hours.
The Breitling Navitimer Automatic GMT 41 comes on an alligator leather strap or a seven-row bracelet. Which is either stainless steel or 18k fairly mined gold, depending on the case. Should you opt for a more basic Breitling Navitimer Automatic 41 version you save about 500 dollars or euros. Which makes this GMT fairly more attractive.
