The Breitling Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar 140^th Anniversary is a variant of one of the top tier aviation watches of all time. This pilot, launched in 1954, was originally developed with and for the Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA) in 1952. After a short period, it becomes available for a broader audience.

The first Navitimer, the Breitling Navitimer Reference 806 Mark 1 from 1954 with a Valjoux caliber 72, allowed pilots to calculate critical information. Critical data like fuel consumption, airspeed, flight time and distance can be calculated using the circular bidirectional slide rule bezel. This was already developed for the Breitling Chronomat in the 1940s, however the Navitimer made it way more popular.

This new B19 Navitimer comes with a 43-millimeter gold case, sporting the renewed beaded bezel, also in gold. However, with a black inlay. This slide rule bezel, a mechanical flight calculator, has a scale, the flange of the dial has another scale, with tachymeter. The dial of this Navitimer is 18k red gold, with a sunburst pattern, the sub dials have a circle pattern. All chronograph hands are gold colored, the small hands for the perpetual calendar are black. At 12 o’clock is the moon phase on a blue sky with silver colored details (moon and stars). At 3 is the date and 30-minute totalizer, at 6 the month and (leap) year indication and at 9 the small seconds and day of the week.

Just like the other B19 models from this trilogy, the Breitling Navitimer B19 Chronograph 43 Perpetual Calendar 140^th Anniversary runs on the Breitling caliber B19. This automatic movement provides a power reserve of 96 hours and has Breitling’s historic Montbrillant manufactory engraved on its gold rotor. The case back is screwed, from 18k red gold and sapphire so you can admire this nice feature.

This gold B19 Navitimer has a black alligator-leather strap with 18k red gold folding buckle and like the other two models, it is limited to 140 pieces.
