The Bremont Supermarine 300M is the brand’s new diver and comes with six references for two colors, each with three strap options. The watch is part of a new series of models that bear the new Bremont logo, as the old propellors have been replaced by a new design. And the name comes in a new font. Furthermore, the overall design language has changed a bit.

This always happens when new owners want to give models their own new touch. However, lesson one after a change of ownership should be: do not change the logo. And if you want to, don’t. Changing the most recognizable part of the brand is the standard pitfall and yet, it still happens all the time. Not only with watches. The goal should be to keep old fans on board and hunt new ones as well. Now a part of the old fans starts growling.

Differences between Bremont’s old and new style

The differences between the “old” Supermarine’s, a lot old-styled are still available, and the new style lies in the overall appearance. The case and lugs have changed a bit (better steel, “flatter” design), the bezel as well (aluminium instead of matt ceramic) and there are new bracelet designs.

The old models look more classic, the new ones more modern – which kind of makes sense, right? Although the new ones also look more generic. Which might be caused by the fact that divers like these have a more standard setup and layout. Knurled rotating bezel, some crown protection, clearly readable dial and 60-minute bezel, only with some very fine touches one can distinguish its models from others.

Bright colors for the new style Bremont Supermarines

This is the 300M without a date, and it comes in gradient blue or green. The 40-millimeter case comes in 904L steel, the better quality sort of steel. The unidirectional rotating bezel with blue or green aluminium inlay matches the dial, and the hour markers between 3, 6, 9 and 12 are tapered battons.

The hands are slightly more pronounced than on the older models. The lollipop central seconds hand is replaced by a straight seconds hand with triangle tip and lollipop counter weight.

The Bremont Supermarine 300M has a power reserve of 50 hours

Inside is the Bremont caliber BE-92AO, an automatic movement probably based on the Sellita SW300-1 b, which is a true no-date version. It has a Glucydur balance wheel, Anachron balance spring and Nivaflex mainspring, all for more durability and precision. The power reserve is 50 hours.

The Bremont Supermarine 300M comes on a color matching rubber strap, or a brown leather strap, or a steel bracelet. The latter is about 500 more. Should you want a version with a date, take a look at the Bremont Supermarine 300M Date. It adds about 150 to the price, and that model is only available in black or brown (with a touch of gold). So far.
