The Bremont Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph is a so called field watch, and here inspired by military time pieces of the 1920s and 1930s. So, a cushion shaped case with tapered lugs and a slim profile, with an oversized crown and large pushers. All easy to operate with gloves.

The dial has large numerals, with a railroad minute track in between them, and large pencil hands. These all have vintage super-luminova to keep the readability as clear as possible in daylight and in the dark. The numerals are 3D and cut in full-block super-luminova.

Compass functionality

To underline its military background the black ceramic bezel of this 42.5-millimeter model shows a compass. Great if you know a bit more about the position of the sun and moon in relation to the time. With this you can figure out where you are, more or less.

The chronograph has a rose gold plated central seconds hand, and at the 3 o’clock position is a 30-minute totalizer. Small seconds are at 9 and at the bottom of the dial there is a small date aperture.

The movement of the Bremont Terra Nova 42.5 Chronograph is the Bremont caliber BE-50AV. Which is an adjusted automatic Sellita caliber SW510 BH a, a solid bi-compax chronograph movement with a stop-second device for precise time setting and a quick date setting. The power reserve is 56 hours.

There are three options to wear it. First a stainless steel bracelet, which adds about 300 to the price. Then a brown leather strap and lastly a black/anthracite NATO strap, which both have the same price.
