How to make a watch ultralight? Take a look at the Bvlgari Aluminium GMT Black, made from aluminium as the name already implies. Well, it’s not fully aluminum as the case back is from titanium and the bezel from rubber. Which, of course, has the “Bvlgari Bvlgari” signature.

The brand first launched an aluminium model in this series in 2020, as a time-only watch. In 2021 a GMT comes on the market, in blue with a white dial. This new GMT in black also has a white-ish dial with black and red inner dial. Which contains a 24-hour scale to indicate night (black) and day (red). The whole concept is a sort of a remake of the Bvlgari Diagono from 1998, the first Bvlgari with an aluminium case.

The Bvlgari Aluminium GMT Black has a power reserve of 42 hours

The movement of the Bvlgari Aluminium GMT Black is the Bvlgari caliber BVL B192 with a power reserve of 42 hours. It is probably based on the Sellita caliber SW330-2, although others say it’s probably an ETA caliber 2893-2. In general, both have the same technical specifications by the way.

This black GMT has aluminium links on the case for the strap connection, which is a black rubber strap with aluminium pin buckle. The GMT model is also available in blue.
