You might think this Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Sketch is a concept watch but it’s not. The word “Sketch” in the name already reveals the design of the watch: it’s a sketch packed in a watch.
On the dial is a freehand drawing of the movement that is behind it. Bvlgari’s Product Creation Executive Director Fabrizio Buonamassa Stigliani has made these sketches and it is not only on the dial side, but also on the back. So on the front you can see drawings of the balance wheel between the 4 and 5 o’clock position. And the column wheel between 7 and 8 o’clock. Including hand-written notes about where the rubies are and what part has Côtes de Genève finishing.
The Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Sketchhas a power reserve of 55 hours
The movement of the Bvlgari Octo Finissimo Chronograph GMT Sketch is the Bvlgari caliber BVL 318. It is an ultra-thin self-winding movement with peripheral rotor to drive the tri-compax chronograph and GMT function. All with a power reserve of 55 hours. The thickness of the movement makes it possible to keep the thickness of the watch very slim: only 8.75 millimeters.
The 43-millimeter case is from stainless steel, just like the bracelet with three-blade folding buckle. This special model is limited to 140 pieces.
