CFB is refreshing their Manero chronograph series with the Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback 40 mm and 43 mm. So, two sizes, in stainless steel, all with the same movement, and the 43-millimeter version is also available in rose gold. Which leads to seven new reference numbers that should fit every wrist.

The new 40-miilimeter versions show a monochromatic color scheme with a sunray-brushed grey dial. This is paired with a stainless steel case and either a steel bracelet (about +400) or a grey textile strap. Both with stainless steel pin-lock folding clasp.

Only the 43-millimeter is available in gold

There are three steel versions of 43 millimeters with a sunray-brushed silver, black or blue-grey dial. They all come on a textile strap with a stainless steel pin-lock folding clasp. And if you want gold, it’s also 43-miilimeters, 18k rose colored, and the two models in gold come on a leather calfskin strap with 18k rose gold pin buckle.

The hour and minute hands of all models are wedge-shaped and either rhodium-plated or rose gold-plated, with super-luminova. The index markers are also wedge-shaped, and every dial has a tachymeter scale at the edge. The sub dials have a seconds and minutes counter and at the 6 o’clock position there is a date aperture.

The Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback 40 mm and 43 mm have a power reserve of 56 hours

Inside ticks the automatic Carl F. Bucherer caliber CFB 1973. This movement has an integrated column-wheel chronograph with flyback function. Start-reset with one pusher and the central chronograph seconds hands flies back to zero and starts again.

The power reserve of the CFB 1973 is about 56 hours, so this caliber looks like an improved version of the CFB 1970 the brand used in earlier versions of the Manero Flyback. This CFB 1970, with a power reserve of 42 hours, is based on the ETA/Valjoux 7750 caliber, highly modified by La Joux-Perret. A rock-solid chronograph in every aspect.
