The Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback Champagne is the third Manero Flyback, this time with a red gold case and champagne dial. The other two models have a silver-toned dial with either a stainless steel or rose gold case. A sportier model and a classic looking model. This version with champagne dial looks more baroque, giving the watch a bronze appearance.

The electroplated dial has a champagne-gold color with deeper gold hues for the minute track and sub dials at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock. The outer ring of the dial contains a tachymeter.

The Carl F. Bucherer caliber CFB 1970 offers the watch a power-reserve of 42 hours. The chronograph has a fly-back function which enables recording of consecutive times with the shortest possible interval between them. A function initially developed in the 1930s for aircraft pilots to instantly relaunch the seconds hand of the chronograph. This reduces the number of actions. No need to stop, reset and re-start the chronograph, one push is enough.

Another cool feature is the slightly raised sapphire crystal with rounded edges, giving the watch even more classic looks. Although the materials and lay-out are different this Carl F. Bucherer Manero Flyback Champagne is a good and more affordable alternative for the Montblanc 1858 Chronograph Tachymeter in bronze.
