A vintage design, from the 1960s, packed in titanium, saving turtles: here is the Certina DS-2 Turning Bezel Sea Turtle Conservancy. A portion of the proceeds of this watch will go to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, a non-profit organization that has been working for decades to protect sea turtles and their habitats. A cause that Certina is supporting for many years.
The link with the sea comes back in the strap made of #tide ocean material, a recycled raw material made of 100% ocean-bound plastic. Another link to the sea: it’s a diver. The cushion-shaped case from titanium can withstand up to 20 bar, and for sure the unidirectional bezel helps divers to measure their time under water.

The sapphire crystal is flat, meaning it’s much thinner than the average DS-2 models, which makes it a little more comfortable for diving and the titanium makes it lighter. The matt black dial is combined with silvery hands and markers filled with super-luminova, the seconds hand is light blue with an SL tip.
Inside this DS-2 Sea Turtle you will find the automatic ETA Powermatic 80.611 movement which provides a power reserve of 80 hours. It features hours, minutes, seconds and date function with a 3-Hz frequency. It can be admired through the transparent case back.
