A big chronograph that can seriously withstand water, this is the Certina DS Action Diver Chrono. It is the perfect watch for sailors and others doing water sports that need a timing device, but also be able to take a deep plunge. So, it has a screw-down crown and screw-down pushers. With which this Certina does 300 meters / 990 feet according to the ISO 6425:2018 standard for diving watches.

It is 44.6 millimers with a thickness of 16.17 millimeters, comes in a stainless steel case and is available with a blue, black or sand colored dial. The latter has gold colored accents to match the sand tones, even on the black ceramic bezel. The other two models have a bezel that color matches the dial. And of course, there is lots of super-luminova, on the dial, hands and bezel as well.

The Certina DS Action Diver Chrono has a power reserve of 68 hours

This chronograph diver runs on the ETA/Valjoux caliber A05.231, which is based on the ETA caliber 7753 (which has its roots in the famous ETA/Valjoux caliber 7750). It means it’s a bi-compax chronograph with a 30-minutes totalizer, small seconds and a date. The movement has a highly durable Nivachron balance spring and a power reserve of 68 hours.

The Certina DS Action Diver Chrono comes on a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp and diver extension. Which adds about 50 to the mentioned prices. Only the sand colored model comes on a recycled striped NATO strap that matches the colors of the watch. The case back is closed, stainless steel and has a turtle engraved on it. Which is, as you might know, the logo of Certina.
