The Certina DS Pilot Quartz is a new chronograph that is added to the DS line of the Swiss brand. Inspired by aviation and designed to be highly legible and functional. It comes with a blue or a green dial, both with a stainless steel case.
The case is 43 millimeters and the model with green dial has a gold-colored PVD coating. Being a pilot it has large, easy-to-read numerals and hands for optimal readability. Plus, they are coated with super-luminova. The small seconds are on a sub dial at the 6 o’clock position and this bears a date function as well.
The Certina DS Pilot Quartz has an ETA quartz movement
Inside is an ETA caliber 251.264 quartz movement which is known for its accuracy. Which means about +/- 10 seconds a year. It offers a split seconds chronograph and the battery can last about 5 to 6 years. If you don’t use the chronograph too much.
This DS Pilot comes on a quick-release system leather strap secured with a stainless steel pin buckle.
