The Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 XP TT is an open-worked version of the ultra-thin Alpine Eagle XP that was launched in 2023. XP means “eXtra Plat”, so ultra-thin, and TT means “Technical Titanium”, referring to the material of the case and integrated bracelet. Which is titanium mixed with vanadium to offer more corrosion resistance.
If you recognize the flat bezel with visible screws, it’s good to know that the Alpine Eagle is the sports series of Chopard. It was launched in 2019 to succeed the Chopard St. Moritz. Which was a true 1980s model: bold, a bit shiny and with pronounced shapes. Elements of that old model can still be found on this 41 XP TT.
The Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 XP TT has a power reserve of 65 hours
Of course, the coolest part is the open-worked dial that offers a great view on the automatic Chopard caliber L.U.C 96.17-S1. It has black rhodium-plated and sandblasted bridges to contrast the case, and it has golden sun-brushed finish stacked barrels and the gilded gear trains. The sapphire case back also offers a view on the off-centered 22k gold micro-rotor which is decorated with the L.U.C plaque. The movement is only 3.3 millimeters thick and offers a power reserve of 65 hours.
The Chopard Alpine Eagle 41 XP TT comes on an integrated titanium bracelet with satin-brushed flanks on its links. The polished central links is a signature design feature of the Alpine Eagle series, and possibly a nod to the 1980s.
