With new dials and an updated case, the Chopard L.U.C XPS collection has evolved into an even more minimalistic and extremely refined dress watch.
Chopard L.U.C is the sub-brand of Chopard and encompasses their high-end watches. One that they invested heavily in the past years. L.U.C stands for Louis-Ulysse Chopard, watchmaker and founder of the brand in 1860.
If you are wondering what the difference is between the L.U.C XP and XPS, it’s the ‘S’ for ‘seconds’. A must if you want to be certified as a chronometer by the COSC.
The Chopard L.U.C XPS comes with three different calibers, depending on the case material
The first L.U.C XP model was launched by the manufacture in 2006. It displayed all the distinctive features that makes the L.U.C XPS one of our favorite Chopard models: an ultra-slim case, a movement with automatic winding via a micro-rotor and a generous power-reserve.
The new ones are no different. Each one with a slightly different movement. There are four versions: a stainless steel edition, one in white or rose gold and a watch that comes in 950 platinum. All measuring a discreet 40 millimeters in diameter and a thickness of just 7.20 millimeters.
The Chopard L.U.C XPS is a perfect example of understated chic. Not a watch that will get you noticed by everyone. But the people who matter certainly will give the watch an approving once over. The most recent Chopard XP models can be found here.
