A new Edox Chronorally 45, with a redesigned case and updated dial design, but still pretty huge with 45 millimeters. With a thickness of 15 millimeter. And still with a colored top chronograph pusher that cannot be overlooked.

The reason for all the change is a new partnership between the Swiss watch brand and BMW Motorrad. Edox is now BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team Official Timing Partner and BMW Motorrad Motorsport Official Timing Partner. A mouth full, and the start of a transition to sponsor racing on two wheels instead of four.

This new Chronorally – why not call it something like Chronobike, as it has nothing to do with rally anymore? – comes with five new references. All with titanium case, a two register chronograph and styled like the cockpit of a motorbike. And each reference has its own color scheme, where the black / red is the only one with a carbon fiber like dial.

The Edox Chronorally 45 is a quartz with day/date and chronograph

To run this watch Edox uses their caliber 38s, which is an adjusted Ronda caliber 8020.N. There are not many specs of this quartz movement, but it sports a day indication by hand at the 12 o’clock position. At 6 there is a big date, and the chronograph has a central seconds counter, a small 30-minute totalizer and a 1/10^th of a seconds indicator.

The Edox Chronorally 45 comes on a black rubber strap with steel pin buckle. There are no references to BMW Motorrad however the over-sized pushers obviously show its motorsport roots.
