The Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture Solid Rose Gold is not really new when it comes to design and movement. However, the case is new for the model. Earlier the brand showed the updated Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture with three dial color options in a steel case. Now it comes in a 3-part solid rose gold case.
As said, the design and movement are the same. So, a case of 40 millimeters and a sunray finish dial, here in silver. As the stainless steel version can come with a green or dark blue dial, these colors might become available for this rose gold version as well. It would definitely be a good match. Hands and indexes are gold-plated, and the moon phase and date by hand are on a sub dial at the 6 o’clock position.
The Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture Solid Rose Gold has a power reserve of 72 hours
Inside is the new Frederique Constant caliber FC-716, based on the caliber FC-715 but now with improved barrel. Leading to a power reserve of 72 hours. It has perlage and fan-shaped Côtes de Genève decorations and an open-worked golden rotor. All are shown through the transparent case back.
The Frederique Constant Classic Moonphase Date Manufacture Solid Rose Gold comes on a navy blue alligator leather strap. It has tone-on-tone stitching and a folding buckle, and the watch is limited to 150 pieces. The price is more than four times higher than the stainless steel versions, but given the fact that it has a solid gold case, that makes sense.
