Some new colors for the Frederique Constant Highlife Chronograph Automatic, now in blue/silver or silver/green. So, with a “panda” or “reversed panda” styled dial. One in stainless steel and the other one also in stainless steel but rose gold plated. The first is a limited edition, the second is about 500 more expensive. We know, don’t shoot the messenger.

Due to the panda/reversed panda style the dial is very easy to read, with a traditional tri-compax chronograph layout. On the left sub dial the small seconds, on the right a 30-minutes totalizer and at 6 o’clock a 12-hours totalizer. Between the 4 and 5 o‘clock position is a date windows. And the background of the dial has the contours of an embossed globe. The three-part case is 43 millimeters.

The Frederique Constant Highlife Chronograph Automatic has a power reserve of 60 hours

Inside is an evolution of the ETA/Valjoux caliber 7750 that became a La Joux-Perret caliber 110 which has been used as the base for the Frederique Constant caliber FC-391. This automatic has a power reserve of 60 hours, Côte de Genève decoration and can be seen through the sapphire case back.

Both Frederique Constant Highlife Chronograph Automatics come with more than one strap. The steel version has a dark green calf leather strap with nubuck finishing and crocodile pattern embossing. This has tone-on-tone stitching and a pin buckle. Additionally, you will get a dark green rubber strap with pin buckle and a stainless steel bracelet with folding buckle as well. So, three straps/bracelets, which is always a good deal.

The gold plated version comes on a navy blue calf leather strap, also with nubuck finishing and crocodile pattern embossing. And also with tone-on-tone stitching plus pin buckle. No bracelet here, but an additional navy blue rubber strap with pin buckle. Okay too.
