Don’t be surprised if the Frederique Constant Manufacture Slimline Moonphase Champagne evokes a déjà vu feeling. It’s one of the watchmaker’s best-selling models since it was launched three years ago.

We have seen the watch with a silvery white dial, a dark brown dial and dark blue dial. The newest edition features a champagne coloured dial with silver coloured indexes and hands. The dial shows hours and minutes. The detailed moonphase, showing the moon and stars, is positioned at 6 o’clock and circled by a date indication.

The sleekness the Manufacture Slimline Moonphase collection is best known for is shown in the 42-millimetre case. And the classical simplicity of the dial. The case is made from stainless polished steel with a flat bezel leaving as much room as possible for the dial. As opposed to the Classic Moonphase the central second hand on the Slimline Moonphase is absent. Reason enough to give the watch another name.

The movement is the in-house created FC-705. The calibre is 6,2 millimetres thick, it beats at 4 Hz and has a 42-hours power-reserve and automatic winding. To control the complications there is no need for an extra pusher as everything can be adjusted by the crown. Through the sapphire case back you can marvel at the movement, the Côtes de Genève stripes and perlage. The watch comes with a black alligator strap.
