Frederique Constant unveils a new series dedicated to a classic car: The Frederique Constant Vintage Rally Healey Automatic. These models are inspired by the iconic British sports car Austin Healey. Although, to be honest, when looking at the Healey Automatic there is really nothing that refers to an Austin Healey. Unless you turn it to the backside. The case back is engraved with a Healey and the individual number of the watch.

Perhaps it would have been too obvious but referring to a classic car and rally’s makes us think about chronographs and tachymeters. Nevertheless, the Frederique Constant Vintage Rally Healey Automatic looks good. Especially the rose gold model with dark grey dial and burundy colored ring on the dial. Which is a referral to the steering wheel, according to the press release. Right. And the leather strap refers to the seat

Apart from this rose/grey model there is a rose gold one with silver dial and a stainless steel model, also with silver dial. All three models have Frederique Constants automatic movement calibre FC-303. And all three models are limited to 2,888 pieces. There is another similar model called Vintage Rally Healey Automatic Peking to Paris, also limited to 2,888 pieces. So that makes 11,552 Vintage Rally Healey Automatics in total, which is still limited – so is a million – but not very unique.

We are willing to forget this ‘let’s make it limited’-marketing because every Frederique Constant Vintage Rally Healey Automatic comes with a gift box and a Healey NOJ393 car miniature model. That’s marketing we like.
