This Frederique Constant × Revolution Slimline Monolithic Manufacture FP(G) “The Last Airbender” marks two moments. One is the final iteration of the Slimline Monolithic in its current form, so the last air bender.

And the second is the celebration of the inauguration of Revolution Arabia, an international watch platform and retailer. The reason why the numerals are in Hindu-Arabic.

Meaning of the name

The name comes from Frederique Constant’s Slimline models and “Monolithic” refers to the most important part, the high-beat silicon oscillator at 6 o’clock. The special movement is an in-house development, thus “Manufacture”.

Then FP, which refers to “Future Past” as the movement represents a futuristic approach in a classic watch. And “(G)” refers to the green color. Here with an outer minute track and an inner segment with frosted (green) finish. Earlier also an FP(S) was released, in salmon.

The Frederique Constant × Revolution Slimline Monolithic Manufacture FP(G) has a power reserve of 80 hours

The FP(S) runs on the Frederique Constant caliber FC-810, which has a date function that was not on the dial of the FP(S). This FP(G) runs on the Frederique Constant caliber FC-800, which is the name given for the FC-810 without a date, we assume.

Its main attraction is the extremely high-beating silicon oscillator, a reimagination of the traditional Swiss lever escapement. As it replaces 26 separate components, including the escapement, balance wheel, hairspring and anti-shock system, with a single piece of silicon. The oscillator vibrates at 288,000 vph (40 Hz), which means it zooms at 80 beats per second.

The advantages of a high-beating movement

A high-beating movement enhances the chronometric performance. And because of the single piece silicon oscillator it does not require lubrication, and it is unaffected by magnetism. It also leads to a very energy efficient mechanism with more power reserve, here 80 hours. You can admire a part of the whole system at the open-worked dial part at 6 o’clock. And you can see the result by the smoothly sweeping seconds hand.

This Slimline Monolithic Manufacture FP(G) comes on a green calf leather with nubuck finishing and deployant buckle. Additionally, you will also get a black nubuck strap. The watch is limited to 100 pieces.
