Here you have the Girard-Perregaux Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition, which is probably the greenest watch you have ever seen. It’s all about British Racing Green, the color all British race cars had to use a long time ago. Around the 1900s it was important that one could see from which country a racecar was. (The US had red in the beginning, later that color went to Italy and the US took white with blue lengthwise stripes, but that’s another story.)
From 2021 Girard-Perregaux teams up with Aston Martin resulting in models with green highlights. This Green Ceramic version is the fourth collaboration. Above the specs in this article you will find the other Aston models of GP.
The Girard-Perregaux Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition is limited to 576 pieces in total
To be honest, we haven’t heard from anyone liking this particular Green Ceramic model. It’s just too green. You won’t order an Aston Martin DB11 in green, with a fully green interieur, would you? Well, some people will. Those people might buy this Girard-Perregaux Laureato Green Ceramic Aston Martin Edition as well. It comes in two sizes: 38 millimeters and 42 millimeters. The first has GP’s caliber GP03300-2166 with 46 hours of power reserve. The 42 has caliber GP01800-2165 with 54 hours of power. On the outside there are no differences.
And the outside, despite the green, looks wonderful. Look at the skeletonized hands, and the color of it, which comes back in the GP logo on top and on the outer seconds ring. The dial itself has a cross-hatch pattern, which is in the old Aston Martins logo. And can still be found on the leather seats of the cars, if you choose that option.
Maybe GP pushes a little too far with this Ceramic version, but if you like the model, be quick because as always, it’s a limited edition. The 38-millimeter version is limited to 188 pieces, the 42 to 388 pieces. Let’s see how long it takes to sell these…
