The Girard-Perregaux Neo Constant Escapement is the latest model of the Bridges collection from GP. It is a new interpretation of the model that GP made for Only Watch 2023 (reference 93510-52-3280-5GX). The brand launched their first model with a constant force escapement in 2013, calling it the Constant Escapement L.M. But, let’s take a look at the new one.
The Neo Constant Escapement has a case of titanium measuring 45 millimeters. It features an open-worked dial with a design revealing the front of the movement and bridges of the timepiece. The dial has a monochrome style with shades of black and grey combined with purple. This purple is on the silicium components that are used for the movement. At the 9 o’clock position there is a power reserve indicator, with just a little blue. Which can also be found on the tip of the seconds hand.
The Girard-Perregaux Neo Constant Escapement has a power reserve of 168 hours
Inside is a COSC certified hand-wound Girard-Perregaux caliber GP09200-1153 which is visible on the front and back of the case. This movement has two barrels, which you can see at the top, and a unique silicium blade that buckles back and forth. The constant force escapement mechanism delivers a rate stability irrespective of the available energy. Of which there is enough when fully wounded: the watch has a power reserve of 168 hours.
The Girard-Perregaux Neo Constant Escapement comes on a rubber strap with fabric effect. It is secured with a titanium triple folding buckle.
