This watch merges the capabilities of a professional diver’s watch with the functionality of a chronograph and was released in 2022 with a blue dial. Meeting strict diving standards while offering precise short-term measurements.

Glashütte Original introduced the SeaQ Chronograph in 2022, marking a milestone for the SeaQ line, first launched in 2019. This collection adheres to the stringent ISO 6425 and DIN 8306 standards for diver’s watches. The SeaQ Chronograph builds on this legacy by adding a flyback chronograph movement, designed for both professional and recreational use.

Design and Dimensions

This SeaQ Chronograph features a stainless steel case with a diameter of 43.2 millimeters. The unidirectional rotating bezel includes a ceramic inlay for durability and precision while diving. A matte silver dial contrasts with black hands and indexes coated in super-luminova.

The watch provides hours, minutes, and small seconds, along with a central stop-second chronograph hand and a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. The flyback function of the chronograph enables swift resetting and restarting, ideal for timing tasks. At the 6 o’clock position is a large date aperture with Glashütte’s signature panorama date, here with a black background color.

The Heart with the Glashütte caliber 37-23

This SeaQ Chronograph uses the in-house Glashütte caliber 37-23, an automatic movement known for its robustness and precision. It delivers a power reserve of over 70 hours, supported by a silicon balance spring that resists magnetic interference. This movement also features intricate hand finishing, visible through the sapphire crystal case back.

The Calibre 37 series represents Glashütte Original’s commitment to reliable chronograph movements, designed to perform under demanding conditions. This series has gained recognition for its efficiency and durability.

Strap Options and Functionality

The SeaQ Chronograph offers various strap choices. You can select a stainless steel bracelet with a fine adjustment mechanism, or a black rubber strap. Furthermore, a synthetic fabric strap in orange which is made from recycled materials. The pin buckle or folding clasp options ensure a secure fit.

The rubber and fabric strap have the same price, but a luxury closing mechanism adds about 300 to the price. If you go for the stainless steel bracelet you will have to pay around 1,200 more.
