The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Chronograph x Massena LAB emerges as a chronograph that blends historical watchmaking and design. This limited-edition collaboration between H. Moser & Cie. and Massena LAB is limited to only 100 pieces. And it takes cues from Moser’s chronographs from the 1940s, giving it strong vintage looks. Which is also the contribution of Massena LAB, experts in designing watches.
This Endeavour Chronograph features a 41-millimeter stainless steel case with a so-called funky blue fumé dial with a sunburst finish. A staple in Moser’s design language, and it includes their signature logo inspired by the brand’s historic mark from 1947.
Vintage aesthetic
The leaf-shaped hour and minute hands enhance the vintage aesthetic, here coated with green super-luminova for low-light readability. At the 9 o’clock position is a 45-minute counter, and at 3 are the small seconds.
The flange of the dial shows a double tachymeter scale for measuring ground speeds. Furthermore, all numerals, the tachymetric scale, chronograph graduations, and sub dial graduations and numerals have super-luminova.
The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Chronograph x Massena LAB has a power reserve of 72 hours
Inside the H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Chronograph x Massena LAB runs the automatic H. Moser & Cie. caliber HMC 220. On top of it is Dubois Dépraz chronograph module, all good for a power reserve of 72 hours. The HMC 220 caliber includes a Straumann hairspring, a high-precision hairspring developed by the Swiss watchmaker Reinhold Straumann in the 1930s. The oscillating weight is engraved with the H. Moser hallmark and the movement has a Moser stripes finish.
This chronograph is paired with a brown kudu leather strap with white thread stitching. The see-through case back allows a view of the HMC 220 caliber, and the model is limited to 100 pieces. Given its unique, vintage appeal, design, and caliber the price tag of 22 to 30k is fair.
