The Hamilton Broadway Auto Chrono is one of three more sporty and urban models Hamilton just launched. As Hollywood and Hamilton go way back it’s no surprise the infamous theatre district of New York was the main inspiration for these Hamilton models. Actually it’s not the first time the watchmaker is inspired by Broadway. The first pocket watches the company made around 1890 were known as the ‘Broadway Limited’.

The Broadway reference in the Hamilton Broadway Auto Chrono is evident. The black dial with vertical lines mimics the streets of New York City. The dial shows a straight line in the middle continuing in the leather strap. A version with stainless steel strap is also available.

The Hamilton Broadway Auto Chrono is not the first Hamilton referring to Broadway

The raised outer ring on the dial creates extra depth and is meant to give the watch a modern and urban feel. The skyscraper like hands with Super-LumiNova should do that as well. The seconds hand has a red tip to improve legibility.

The 43-millimetre stainless steel case and houses a H-21 automatic movement with a 60 hour power reserve. This movement is based on the famous ETA Valjoux 7750, and adjusted by Hamilton.
