After the 42-millimeter from 2019 and the 38 from 2022, there are now two new version of the Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38 mm. Which has its roots in the 2014 movie Interstellar by Christopher Nolan, where the main character uses a Hamilton Khaki Filed to transmit morse code to his daughter Murph in order to save the world.

These two new models are less shocking. In fact, it’s a new white dial with a black leather strap, and a black dial with a bracelet. Nevertheless, these vintage styled pilot/field watches have a pretty attractive design for a good price, and movie lovers seem to be attracted by it.

This type of watches still has design influences from pilots from the beginning of the 1900s. So, clear numerals, here in beige with luminova, and large hands on a clean background. The flange of the black or grained white dial has a minute/second track, and the nickeled hands are cathedral-styled with luminova.

The Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38 mm has a power reserve of 80 hours

The movement of the Hamilton Khaki Field Murph 38 mm is the Hamilton caliber H-10, that is based on the ETA caliber C07.811, which is based on the ETA caliber 2824. A three-hander with or without date, here without, and a Nivachron balance spring. It supplies a more than sufficient power reserve of 80 hours, has contrasting snail and pearled patterns finish and is viewable through the transparent case back.

If you go for the bracelet add about 75 to the price. And of course, the version with a black dial is also available with a black leather strap (reference H70405730) instead of a steel bracelet. For the same price as the white dial.
