Hanhart presents a new naval aviation watch with the Hanhart Fly Navy Aerosphere, with which you can navigate and dive. It is available with two different coats of arms embossed on the back to show the connection with the German navy. And each model is limited to 150 pieces.

The navy blue dial of this stainless steel 42-millimeter model has a very strong appearance, mainly due to the oversized open-worked hands. The central seconds hand has a triangle-shaped open-worked tip, and the counterweight has a yellow trident of Poseidon, the Greek God of the sea. This to underline its naval background.

Navigating and diving for the German navy

Furthermore, you will notice a large naval aviator command logo in yellow, and there is a small date at the 3 o’clock position. All the hour markers and hands are filled with white super-luminova. The triangle with double dots at 12 o’clock is for navigation purpose. With this a pilot or diver can quickly identify the 12 o’clock position of the watch in dark conditions.

For diving there is a unidirectional bezel in stainless steel with a ceramic navy blue inlay. It has a 60-minute graduation, and all numerals and indexes have super-luminova too. The water resistance is 300 meters or about 1,000 feet and the watch has a helium valve to protect the movement after diving.

The Hanhart Fly Navy Aerosphere has a power reserve of 38 hours

Its case houses the automatic Sellita caliber SW200-1 a, one of the most used three-hander movements, here with a date (a). The power reserve is 38 hours (Sellita thinks it’s approx. 41 hours by the way). It has a quick setting date, a self-winding mechanism with ball bearing and a stop second device for precise time setting. The steel case back either has an embossed coat of arms of Naval Air Wing (Marinefliegergeschwader) 3 or Naval Air Wing 5.

The Hanhart Fly Navy Aerosphere comes on a blue textile hook strap or stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp and diving extension. Which ads about 200 to the price. Do you like the style but are you looking for a chronograph? Take a look at this Hanhart Primus Fly Navy Chronograph that was released in October 2023. It is 44 millimeters and available in stainless steel or PVD coated stainless steel.
