With the Hublot Big Bang Unico Asociación del Fútbol Argentino the Swiss brand commemorates the FIFA World Cup from 2022. In that year the Argentina team became the world champion of football after beating France in the final. It was the third world cup by the Argentinos, after 1978 (with the big stars Passarella and Kempes) and 1986 (with Maradona and Valdano).

Now, Hublot partners with the UEFA, FIFA and Premier League for instance, so you could say they like football. Or soccer if you wish. And since 2006 the brand has a partnership with the Argentine Football Association as well, the Asociación del Fútbol Argentino. They even made a Big Bang Maradona, a limited edition of 250 pieces launched in 2010. And today they are launching these two Big Bangs and the Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph Asociación del Fútbol Argentino.

Argentina Big Bang chronographs in titanium and gold

These Big Bang chronographs come either in titanium or in King gold (Hublot gold with a little titanium). The case is 42 millimeters and the design is executed in white and blue. Just like the home kit of the Argentina football team, which is white with sky blue diagonal stripes. And during away matches they wear navy blue, which you can find on the Classic Fusion.

Due to the white and light blue colors, the team is nicknamed “Albiceleste”, Spanish for the “white and sky blues”. White can be found on the sub dials, sky blue on the bezel and strap. The dial itself is skeletonized which reveals the grey-toned movement, and the hands and indexes are white with super-luminova and outlined with gold colors. At the 9 o’clock position the authentic World Cup is depicted, of course in gold as well. The inner bezel is white with gold colored indexes.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico Asociación del Fútbol Argentino has a power reserve of 72 hours

Inside is the automatic Hublot caliber HUB1280 with a power reserve of 72 hours. This HUB1280 is an often used movement for Big Bangs and Square Bangs when executed with a flyback chronograph. You can only admire it from the front, as the case back is closed.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico Asociación del Fútbol Argentino comes with two straps, both in structured lined rubber. One is sky blue with white, the second strap is full white. The deployant buckle is executed in titanium, with gold as well for the gold version. Which is limited to 10 pieces only, the titanium version is limited to 25 pieces.
