When traveling, most people use their phone to adjust the time. The signal adjusts the time automatically and every smartphone has world times. But you have to find that app every time to see your home time. One glimpse at your Hublot Big Bang Unico GMT and you know it all.

Most GMT’s have a rather complicated way of setting the local time and home time. Only the smarter ones (and mostly the more expensive ones) have simplified solutions. Like this Hublot Big Bang Unico GMT. It shows hours, minutes and seconds and there is large arrow-shaped hand to show the home time. This one is connected to the day/night indicator so you avoid the risk of calling home in the middle of the night.

The Hublot Big Bang Unico GMT comes in titanium or carbon fiber

Setting the local time is easy: just use the pushers at the 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock position. Pushing the one at 2 moves the hour hand one hour forward. The one at 4 moves the hour hand one hour backward. The minute and second hand stay at their position and the mechanism is protected: you can’t use both pushers at the same time. Use the crown to set the home time and day/night indicator.

The 45-millimeter Hublot Big Bang Unico GMT comes in two different case materials: titanium or carbon fiber. A bright one and a darker one as the open-worked dial matches the case material. Inside is Hublot’s Unico caliber HUB1251 which is their base Unico caliber minus a chronograph and with GMT module added. If offers a power reserve of 72 hours which is adequate for most travelers.
