The Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic watch celebrates the achievements of Novak Djokovic, one of the most accomplished athletes in tennis history. Designed in collaboration with Novak Djokovic, this watch represents his “precision, agility, and determination on the court”. Sounds good, but the material Hublot has used is way more remarkable. As it contains elements from Djokovic’s personal sports gear.

Hublot introduced the Big Bang collection in 2005, with fusions of traditional and contemporary materials. The collection has become a hallmark of the brand’s image, and this Djoko Big Bang Unico takes its place in this storied lineage. Djokovic joined Hublot as an ambassador in 2021, so it’s not the first watch with his name on it.

About Novak Djokovic

Novak Djokovic, born on May 22, 1987, in Belgrade, Serbia, is one of the most accomplished tennis players in history. Turning professional in 2003, he has won a record 24 Grand Slam singles titles, completing the career Grand Slam twice.

In 2023, he achieved the rare Golden Slam, winning all four Grand Slam tournaments and Olympic gold in singles. Known for his precision and agility, he is celebrated as the greatest of all time (GOAT) in tennis. No wonder, Hublot wanted him as a brand ambassador. Let’s look at the watch.

Design and Material Innovation

This Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic measures 42 millimeters in diameter. Its case is crafted from recycled matte blue composite with parts of Djokovic’s HEAD racquets and Lacoste polo shirts. After washing we hope. Not only cool, but these materials also create a unique speckled design in dark blue and light blue textiles. Enhanced by black carbon elements. It’s a pity you cannot recognize the original materials anymore.

The bezel is from polished sky blue anodized aluminum, just like the case back, reducing the weight. The dial features a matte sky-blue finish with white luminous indices for enhanced readability. Hublot replaces traditional sapphire crystal with tempered Gorilla glass, offering a scratch-resistant surface that is twice as light. Lastly, some elements are executed in tennis ball yellow, like the chronograph hand, bezel screws, and pushers, while Novak Djokovic’s logo is etched onto the glass.

Key Features of the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic

Movement of this Novak Djokovic Big Bang Unico

The Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic features the in-house Hublot caliber HUB1280. It’s the so-called Unico movement known for its reliability and precision. This self-winding chronograph movement offers a power reserve of 72 hours. Hublot re-engineered some parts of the movement components using anodized aluminum, reducing its weight by nearly 27%.

The watch comes with no less than four interchangeable straps. These include a tennis wristband-inspired strap, an elastic blue strap, a light blue Velcro strap, and a white rubber strap. Each strap is equipped with Hublot’s One-Click system, allowing you to switch styles effortlessly. The titanium deployant buckle and polished aluminum sports buckles offer secure fastening.

Price of the Hublot Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic

The Big Bang Unico Novak Djokovic is priced around 45 to 54k and competes with other limited-edition sports watches. Think Audemars Piguet or even Richard Mille. The latter is a sponsor of tennis player Rafael Nadal and recently released this Richard Mille RM 27-05 Flying Tourbillon Rafael Nadal. Although this specific model is in another price league.

With only 100 pieces available, this limited edition offers collectors and tennis fans a distinctive addition to their portfolios. And if you buy one, you will also get a Lacoste sports wristband and a signed Lacoste polo shirt.
