The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Sang Blue Sapphire is the transparent version of the earlier released Big Bang Sang Blue. It’s a collaboration with Mr. Maxime Plescia-Büchi, a Swiss tattoo artist with shops in Zurich, London and Los Angeles. The name of the shops: Sang Blue. So, the watch has a tattoo-like design with a rhomboid shape.
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Sang Bleu was released in 2023, in an all-black version, in titanium with and without diamonds and in gold, with and without diamonds. This new model is just sapphire only, and everywhere. Somehow it creates some calmness in the design of the faceted 42-millimeter geometric shaped, ten-sided, 3D case. Reading the time is still difficult, with a rhomboid for the hours and one for the minutes.
The movement of the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Sang Blue Sapphire has a power reserve of 50 hours
We just told you that it has sapphire everywhere, but that’s not really true as the Hublot caliber HUB4700 inside needs some metals. This movement had the Zenith caliber El Primero 400 as a base, a high-beater capable of measuring time up to 1/10th of a second. The power reserve is 50 hours and most of the tech bits are viewable through the dial and case back.
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Sang Blue Sapphire also has a sort of transparent strap, made from smooth rubber. So, again, no sapphire. The strap is closed with a titanium deployant buckle clasp. The price is a little higher (times 2 to 5) than the all-black, titanium or gold versions, even when these are paved with diamonds.
