The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang SORAI supports the organization “Save Our Rhinos Africa and India” as they can always use funds to protect this remarkable creature. SORAI, in short, is the conservation organization founded by former international cricketer, conservationist and Hublot Ambassador Kevin Pietersen. The result is this tonneau-shaped hand-wound tourbillon.

Its width is 42 millimeters, and the case is crafted from micro-blasted and polished grey ceramic. Same for the bezel, added with the renewed six H-shaped screws, here in black plated titanium. But the dial will catch the most attention.

Off-centered hours and minutes

The dial of the SORAI Big Bang is fully open-worked, providing a view on the front of the movement. The hours and minutes are off-centered, with skeleton hands with tips filled with luminova. The hour markers connected to the minute flange also have luminova. And if you look closely you will spot a rhino at 3 o’clock.

Its tourbillon is visible at the 6 o’clock position, connected to bridges that are not straight. A part of them is on the front of the dial, a part bows to the background as well. Between the 8 and 9 o’clock position is a power reserve indicator.

The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang SORAI has a power reserve of 5 days

The movement of the Hublot Spirit of Big Bang SORAI is the Hublot caliber HUB6020, with a huge barrel and a power reserve of 115 hours. Which is about 5 days. The case back is transparent so the movement can be admired through the back as well. Where you can also see the SORAI logo, including Rhino head.

This Big Bang SORAI comes with two straps. A grey fabric strap with Velcro and black ceramic sport buckle, plus an additional black rubber strap with grey camo colors. The watch is limited to 30 pieces and part of the proceeds from sales of the watch will be donated to SORAI. A noble gesture although the price tag of this Hublot Spirit of Big Bang SORAI is around an exorbitant 100k.
