Hublot has launched the Spirit of Big Bang Texas, a limited-edition timepiece designed to honor the American state of Texas. Also known as the “Lone Star State”. With only 30 pieces available, this model captures the essence of Texan culture, pride, and independence. A Spirit of Big Bang Texas paying tribute to the “Lone Star State” with distinctive design features unique to Texas.
This model comes in a 42-millimeter black ceramic signature tonneau-shaped case with a thickness of 14.1 millimeters. Hublot has combined a satin-finished, micro-blasted, and polished 18-karat yellow gold bezel with the black case, creating a strong contrast.
View on the skeletonized movement
The dial reveals the intricate skeletonized movement, a hallmark of Hublot’s design. The Lone Star symbol on the dial represents Texas’s spirit of independence, further connecting the watch to Texan heritage. There is also a gold star symbol on the case back.
There is a black minute track with gold markers at the flange of the dial with skeleton gold-colored hour markers. The skeleton hands are also gold-colored just like the flange of the sub dials and the window of the date. The movement is executed in black, grey, and silver tones, adding more contrast.
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Texas has a power reserve of 50 hours
At the core of the Spirit of Big Bang Texas lies the Hublot caliber HUB4700. A self-winding skeleton chronograph movement with a power reserve of 50 hours. It is an in-house caliber based on the Zenith caliber El Primero 400. Pretty rock-solid.
The Spirit of Big Bang Texas comes with a strap made from brown calfskin, accented with stitching inspired by traditional Texan leatherwork. Additionally, the strap includes a black rubber lining, providing extra durability and comfort. The 18-karat yellow gold and black-plated titanium deployant clasp offers secure fastening. Moreover, you will also get a second strap, which is a black rubber bracelet.
Pricing of the Texas-inspired Hublot Spirit of Big Bang
The watch is priced at $ 33,600 in the press release, on Hublot’s website it is 34k. And it is only available in the United States, not everywhere, but only in Hublot’s Dallas, Houston, and Austin Boutiques. Well, it ain’t cheap, but it sure is easy on the eyes.
