The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Green Carbon Mexico was unveiled at the SIAR trade fair in Mexico City. This watch represents Hublot’s innovative fusion of materials and eco-conscious design. Limited to 35 pieces, it showcases the brand’s signature style within the Spirit of Big Bang collection, known for its tonneau-shaped cases. A cornerstone of Hublot’s design philosophy, standing alongside the round Big Bang and the square Square Bang collections.
A SIAR model is not new, just take a look at last year’s Hublot Big Bang Unico Titanium Green Ceramic Mexico. So yes, the brand creates a cool Mexican and cactus green model every year which gives (Mexican) collectors the opportunity to be part of the “club”.
Titanium case and carbon bezel
The case, made of satin-finished and polished titanium, measures 42 millimeters across and 14.1 millimeters in thickness. The frosted carbon bezel introduces a vibrant green hue, mixed with black and grey tones. And the renewed six H-shaped titanium screws to hold the case and back together.
The open-worked dial shows Hublot’s chronograph movement, and cactus green hues for the minute track, hands, and flanges of the sub dials. White super-luminova on the hands and hour markers also enhance the readability in daylight.

The Green Carbon Mexico Big Bang has a power reserve of 50 hours
Powering the Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Green Carbon is Hublot’s HUB4700 caliber. This self-winding skeleton chronograph, visible through the skeleton dial and transparent case back, operates at a high frequency of 5 Hz. Its 50-hour power reserve ensures reliable performance over a weekend.
This caliber is a reworked version of the legendary Zenith El Primero movement, a horological icon since its debut in 1969. Hublot’s enhancements include aesthetic refinements and adjustments for the Spirit of Big Bang’s unique architecture.

The strap material is made from cactus fiber and reflects eco-conscious craftsmanship. Hublot chose Nopal cactus, commonly known as prickly pear, for its minimal water requirements and durability. The cactus fiber strap, tested rigorously for strength and wear, adds an environmentally responsible element to the design.
The Hublot Spirit of Big Bang Titanium Green Carbon Mexico is priced at around 27,000 dollars, 28.000 euros, and 23,000 pounds. In line with other Spirit of Big Bangs. This also positions it competitively against other high-end watches with innovative materials and sophisticated movements. For comparison, the Zenith Defy El Primero 21 Chroma offers similar precision and an iconic movement as well. All at a lower price point, but without the Hublot appeal.
