After a recently released white Panda version it is time for the HYT Conical Tourbillon Infinity Diamonds. A one-off model with diamonds combined with a gold and black titanium case. And as there are no less then 575 diamonds, it glitters from miles away. Or infinite.
The base of the watch is the Conical Tourbillon model, which has a large central tourbillon, here with three large diamonds. Each of these three has a counterweight of rose gold and these diamonds spin at different speeds. One at four rotations per minute, one does five and the last does six rotations per minute. It creates a lively spectacle under the large sapphire crystal dome. And with a case diameter of 48 millimeters everything is large.
Snow-set diamonds everywhere
The hours are indicated with a retrograde fluidic indication, part of the hydro-mechanical horology concept of the brand. Black fluid goes into a capillary tube, which indicates the hours, the minutes are indicated by hand. Which looks to be executed in gold, and it has a luminescent triangle.
As said, the tourbillon has three diamonds, which have 64-facets and are round brilliant-cut. Then there are 400 snow-set diamonds on the dial. Snow-set means there are a lot of small diamonds packed together, close to each other, forming a “carpet” of these precious minerals. The upper case is adorned with 175 snow-set diamonds, and mounting the total of 575 (plus 3) took more than three months of handwork.
The HYT Conical Tourbillon Infinity Diamonds has a power reserve of 40 hours
To pump the fluids into the tube there is a hand-wound HYT caliber 701-TC compromising 533 components. When fully wound, with a winding tool, it has a power reserve of 40 hours. The front and back of the watch show the movement in operation, and you can also see the black finish, rhodium-plating, and 5N gold on the movement.
The HYT Conical Tourbillon Infinity Diamonds comes on a black rubber strap with black topstitching. It is secured by a black DLC titanium pin buckle. And the watch is limited to one piece only so be quick if you are interested…
