The HYT Hastroid Blue Star is another variant to be added to the Hastroid series. This limited edition of 20 pieces features a magnesium and titanium case with a subtle metallic blue gradient.
As always with models from HYT it looks hyper-technical, sleek and electrifying. And big. It is housed in a 48-millimeter case, with a thickness of 17.2 millimeter and it contains titanium, carbon and magnesium. The use of magnesium, which is 2.6 times lighter than titanium but still super strong, makes the watch a bit unique as it is rarely used on watches. But apparently it saves so much weight.
The HYT Hastroid Blue Star has a power reserve of 72 hours
Telling the time works in the same way as other Hastroids, like the HYT Hastroid Rainbow. The dial has a large central hand with an electric blue coating and sharpened contours to indicate the minutes. The small seconds are on the left and a power reserve indicator is placed on the right. A capillary tube with white super-luminova encircles the dial with a blue fluidic light to read the retrograde hours.
The open-worked dial shows a part of the hand-wound caliber 501-CM movement which delivers a power reserve of 72 hours. The price of 79’000 Swiss Francs is excluding taxes, the price in other currencies are an estimation based on the current conversion rates.
