The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team for 2023 does not only have an unmanageable name, it’s also a new version for this years F1 team. It comes from the collaboration between IWC and Mercedes-Benz, which also shows in the AMG Formula 1 team. Last year they introduced a version with another strap color, this year the Miami Pink version was launched at the Miami International Autodrome. Of course Mercedes didn’t want to forget their other sponsor, the oil company Petronas, so you will get a Petronas green rubber strap as well.

The watch features a 41-millimeter grade 5 titanium case with a 10 ATM water resistance, and Lewis Hamilton and George Russell were wearing it during the Miami Grand Prix. Although not in the car of course. The team’s signature Petronas green is also shown on the glowing hands, markers and numerals, which is a nice contrast with the matte black dial.

Inside the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Pilot is IWC’s in-house caliber 69385, an automatic movement with a column-wheel chronograph that can be seen through its transparent sapphire case back. The bi-directional pawl winding system effectively forms a power reserve of 46 hours.
