The Top Gun collection was first introduced in 2022 with various colored ceramic watches. These colored ceramics take their inspiration from the color codes found in the world of naval aviation and are developed in collaboration with Pantone. Which is an American company that coded colors used in many industries.

This Top Gun Mojave Desert has a beige ceramic case. Which is, with 15.5 millimeters, quite thick. The beige ceramic looks like sand-colored, the color of the Mojave Desert. Now you know where the name comes from. It is also the color of the flight suits of naval aviators and the desert landscape around China Lake. Which is the home of the U.S. Navy’s famous Top Gun flight school. It has brown hour and minute hands complimenting the brown dial. The crown, chronograph pushers and the case back are executed in titanium gray.

Although the name of the watch suggest it is 41 millimeters, it is a bit bigger. 41.9 millimeters to be precise. At the heart beats an automatic IWC caliber 69380 delivering a power reserve of 46 hours. This movement drives a column-wheel chronograph and is resistant to magnetic fields.

This IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Top Gun Mojave Desert comes on a beige rubber strap with textile inlay. For sure it matches the color of the case, and it is secured with a titanium pin buckle.
