The IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG and the IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team celebrate IWC’s partnership with Mercedes-AMG. Which is ‘AMG’ for the fast Mercedes cars, and ‘Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team’ for the even faster F1 cars. Size and movement are the same, but there are also some differences.
The 41 AMG model sports a titanium case, and bracelet if you want. It has this grey-ish titanium color, a material also used for the crown and pushers. The dial is plain, monochrome, with a classic chronograph layout and day-date indicator. The 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas has a case of ceratanium, a combination of titanium and ceramic. Also light and hard. The dial of this version has some Petronas-green accents which makes it just a bit more ‘alive’. Both bezels are ceramic with a tachymeter scale.
The IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG has a power reserve of 46 hours
Both IWC Pilot’s Watch Performance Chronograph 41 AMG models are 41 millimeters (with a thickness of 14.8 millimeters) and have a transparent case back. You can buy them either with a bracelet in the material of the case (so, titanium or ceratanium) or with a black rubber strap.
Inside the both Pilot’s is the automatic IWC caliber 69385 which can be admired through its sapphire case back. It is equipped with a column-wheel chronograph movement with chronograph counters in a vertical arrangement. And it features a day/date complication. The power reserve is 46 hours.
If you want more green on the dial, go for the IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team 2023. With a bright rubber strap.
