Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces the Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Enamel, a high-end and very subtle dress watch. The Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon collection from Jaeger-LeCoultre typically represents a combination of two notable features: the ultra-thin profile of the watch and the inclusion of a tourbillon complication.
The case of the new Ultra Thin Tourbillon is made of pink gold, measuring 40 millimeters with a thickness of 12.13 millimeters. But what captivates here is the blue Grand Feu enamel dial. That is adorned with a sunray pattern meticulously executed through hand-guilloché, consisting of 180 sunrays.
To create this pattern, the craftsmen use a special tool called a rose engine lathe. Each of the 180 sunrays on the dial need to be carefully crafted with six passes of this tool, resulting in a total of 1,080 lines.
The Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Ultra Thin Tourbillon Enamel has a power reserve of 45 hours
Also, the small dial that shows the date has a special circular pattern carved by hand. This creates a nice texture that looks different from the smooth rays of the main dial. This detailed work is really accurate and involves more than 1,100 careful movements by the guillocheur. And lastly, at 6 o’clock, there is a tourbillon in a titanium cage. It features a laser-engraved seconds counter and polished pink gold bridges, providing a contrasting color to the dial.
This time piece runs by an automatic Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 978. Which is shown through its sapphire case back, and the tourbillon also offers a glimps of it from the front. The movement has a frequency of 4 Hz delivering a power reserve of 45 hours. This beauty is topped-off with a blue alligator strap with small-scale lining and pink gold folding buckle.
