A tribute, specially created for a rock band, the Jaquet Droz Tourbillon Skelet Red Gold – Bon Jovi shines on the wrist of Jon himself. According to the Swiss brand JBJ had “a desire for a watch that reflects his personality: exacting, disruptive, unique”. In June the band launched their 16th studio album called ‘Forever’, and now a world tour starts to celebrate the band’s 40th anniversary. A perfect moment for a unique watch – and it is not for sale. It’s a one-off for Jon Bon Jovi.
The result is a 41-millimeter 18 karat red gold timepiece with an open-worked dial. On top is the bands name in Bon Jovi’s font, followed by a mid-air floating tourbillon. This is attached to the movement which is secured to the case on a black PVD geometry of linear bridges. But the main attraction is in the middle.
Bon Jovi logo in solid white gold
In the middle is a large, white gold applique which is hand-crafted. It depicts the logo of the band with two spread out wings on either side of a dagger. The dagger is plunged into a heart which is engraved with the number “40” to mark the group’s anniversary. The wings are hand-engraved from a solid gold block.
The off-centered hour and minute hands are executed in red gold for some contrast on the white gold logo. Jaquet Droz’ logo can be found at the bottom, in black, matching the black bridges.

Not only the watch itself has an impressive design, the automatic Jaquet Droz caliber 2625 SQ is also impressive. The movement has black treatment, just watch the back to admire it. It sports a silicon balance spring and pallet horns and has only one barrel, but a power reserve of 8 days. The open-worked red gold oscillating weight tops it off.
The Jaquet Droz Tourbillon Skelet Red Gold – Bon Jovi has a rubber strap according to the specifications, but it looks more like fabric on the photos. Although it can still be rubber of course. The folding clasp is from red gold.
